Former S-Class Mage, Grandson of Makarov, Son of Ivan, and artificial Dragon Slayer. Laxus!

Laxus hated the weak. His dream was to eliminate the weak from Fairy Tail and to gather only the strongest in order to make the most powerful guild. I think that a large part of me can understand this. Sometimes it feels like becoming almighty would be the greatest thing possible. Upon deeper inspection, however, it seems like Laxus' true motivation was inspired by his own inner weaknesses. Having been infused with Lacrima to make him stronger (despite his own magic potential...is bloodline important in FT?) it seems to me that Laxus was raised with a need for power, and so this turns out to be more or less the circumstance of a man driven by avarice. Those with power seek more power.

Lightning Magic has afforded him a solid record, as well as a spot in the A Tier!

DFO: Failementalist

I guess it doesn't help that I already DESTROYED the sp count on this character as well. I can't believe I'm begging for a reset on three of my characters. Soon please soon!

Anyways, Mage is REALLY hard to use. Compared to Slayers/Gunners which are easycheesy. Elementalist in particular is slow, but I currently also have low casting speed + low mp regen so it really hurts. Casting a bunch of spells is fun though!

Anyways, I thought I would go ahead and make my own revision of classes. Here goes!

----------------------------------

S Tier. Oh Baby.

MECHANIC:
This class has only one disadvantage in pvp BUT TOO BAD YOU'LL NEVER GET CLOSE ENOUGH TO EXPLOIT IT. I'm talkin bout cloth armor not mitigating shyt but other than that I'm pretty sure I've got land runners and time bombs dealin more damage than your basic attacks anyway except your skills dont home in on your opponent (ME). I've got g-2 rollin thunder here to block your shyt + zap you for the fun damage LOL i dun care if I'm technically under an abnormal status, I push de button and ZAP. No combos for you today so I guess I'll just SUMMON THEE GUNDAM. GG man too bad you're too busy tryin to hit me while this robot shoots a machine gun PEW PEW oh waht its got MISSILES TOO?! LOLOL gg son. Can't fix me without removing me from the game :D

--------------------------
I'll do more later.

Assignment #14.

When you're young, you don't know a thing about beauty. I'm talking very young, perhaps about five years old or younger. Although to be honest, you don't know much at all before five years old anyway, at least, not typically. You see, it doesn't make sense to try and understand beauty when you're that young. You're still a child. Things need to make sense to you more than anything else. But not in an empirical sense, rather, it's more like things need to seem right. Because if it feels right, or is made to feel right, we'll come to understand it that way. It's how we learn. When I was little, I didn't know whether or not my mom was beautiful. I might have told her she was pretty, but I didn't understand things like beauty the way I do now. When you're young, it doesn't make sense to judge things aesthetically, because you don't see why you should compare the faces and outfits of the people around you to an ideal. But you do know, that when you hug your mom, she'll probably smell pretty good and the hug will be warm and soft; and that's probably more important than whether or not you like the look of the person you're hugging, because at that point there's no calculation. Of course, we grow old and then our perspectives alter our standards, and it's no longer acceptable to act as a child. Even when the folly would be appropriate.

When I was about ten years old, I switched from homeschooling to the public school system. The big difference and most influential adjustment wasn't the social change, but the time change. For me, social flux wasn't a problem. The environment changed around me and I adapted. But the big deal was spending a minimum of six hours a day on a pre-set schedule, as opposed to the average four hours taken for homeschooling. I'm not too big on an efficiency comparison, because what's done is done, but overall I had to start adjusting to the time management. There's a lot of freedom in homeschooling, which I think is what attracts people to it in the first place. When that freedom changed, I think I changed with it. And so the turbulence which everybody wanted to attribute to some scheme of a "change of environment and social setting" was more the result of a once carefree boy being retrained to spend time on things other than his own desires. It is difficult to tame the free.

A large part of my sophomore year in high school was spent at a church. This, along with school, somehow became the bane of my pre-collegiate career. I guess it's just that what had started as what should have been some sort of spiritual journey for an adolescent turned out to be nothing more than the unveiling of a corrupted network. I had watched people come and go throughout the five years I was there, but perhaps it turned the most when I was fifteen, when a new batch of members to the youth group signaled a rift between myself and the rest of the congregated. I realized that I was in there for my own discovery, that is to say I had thought I merely wanted to take an individually directed approach to the church. I hoped to bring myself and what I knew in order to make myself someone over there. I was viewing the church as a team. But the other people around me...they were full of tears and disappointment, and they used the youth group at the church to mollify their own struggles. I won't go into detail about their problems, but since then it dawned on me: I wasn't starving for a savior like they were. I wasn't starving for truth.

This past semester, I somehow got accepted into the exchange program at my school. I'm effin excited! It feels like I'm finally forcing myself into change. I never would have thought that my seemingly random choice to begin studying Japanese in high school would result in something that could alter my lifestyle. I mean, I'm coming back, but I suppose it is a big thing to be fairly independent for once. But I think I know now, after some twenty years, a bit more than when I started. I've got to make my time count, because before I know it, I'll be back. And I hope you know that too. I'm coming back!

The...Limited?!

Let's take a look at all the wonderful cards that we can now (only) use one of!

BLACK WHIRLWIND:
The BW engine was still REALLY strong at two. Watering it down to one perhaps keeps it balanced enough that other aspects of the deck don't need to be bothered with. Personally, getting single whirlwinded instead of double whirlwinded still hurts. But this is good to see!
Verdict: Good Call!

DARK HOLE:
Oh gosh why. Why oh why. You kick storm and bring back this? Is that the logic? Anyways, you better start packing more starlight roads.
Verdict: WTQ

INFERNITY LAUNCHER:
Uh...I guess this was just a necessary thing to do to again, water down the simple lovin combos of the fast decks. Will infernity feel it? Of course.
Verdict: Good Call! (but we saw it comin)

MONSTER REBORN:
Ooooo I guess you like it when I take your monster ooh ooh. There's gonna be many tears over topdecks of this.
Verdict: WTQ

ROYAL OPPRESSION:
Now this one's a little different. Yes, it was becoming a nuisance, having been splashed into almost every playable deck (main/side). Was a limit necessary? Perhaps not. Will it encourage new strategies? I hope so. No more banking on your ROs to lock things down! Of course, one can still do it in many cases.
Verdict: I don't care.

This would probably be better if I discussed things with someone else. Oh well!

TC: A matter of time

Battle stats
Speed: 200,005.6394
Strength: 112,783.0461
Defence: 1,523,835.3467
Dexterity: 100,308.3475
Total: 1,936,932.3797

So close to 2mill! (total)

So I calculated that daily refills is about 3 times faster in getting to 2mill def.

WOW. Why was I being so cheap before?

Druid posted a thread of tipsntricks, if you will. Lots of interesting and helpful stuff, but for the most part I'm too casual so I'll play my own way. Although I really should look into the stock market.

I got promoted in the fac to some sort of position...I can access the staff room but I don't feel like there's much for me to do since everything's already really well managed.

I learned two new words today! (thanks to kurt)

Finagle and Gubernatorial.

Up until the end of the Whitebeard War, Sengoku had a seemingly unfaltering faith in the World Government. If you think about it, his recent struggle with his superior's orders is possibly the result of an ongoing conflict between absolute and moral justice throughout his service as a top-ranking marine. I suppose it best reminds me that even though we place our strength and beliefs in a people or system, it is often the case that we are forced into the crutch of our own understanding, and that this maddening phenomena is not so important in that we pain to find a solution, but rather that it is urgent that we extract ourselves from the very equation, because the conflict itself is unsurvivable. Justice is not always greater than ambition.

Philosophy aside, Sengoku apparently has Haki (seeing as he was a high-ranked officer) along with his only partially explained DF. Apparently he gets REALLY humongous, even stronger, and can shoot shock waves from his palms. Very nice!

Compiling a decent record of his fights is difficult without many flashbacks, to say the least. Still, historical record for now is incomplete at best and unimportant as far as tiers. Remember it's all about powah!

Sengoku: 1-0-2

He's definitely a powerful figure, but he's a bit past his prime compared to the strongest at this point. Sengoku: A TIER!

Cascada: Piece of Heaven

My favorite song from Cascada! Although from what I've read I think this single was released as Akira. Something like that. It's Natalie either way.

I listened to this song a lot in high school, in fact the above vid may be the same one I found on youtube years ago. Redundancy!

People say she's fat! On like all her videos! She's not your stereotypical facking petite chick but she's pretty! And more importantly, she has a good voice. Which is often interrupted by these damn youtube ads. whyyyy

Fairy Tail: Gajeel

Up until his weakness for lack of cat, he was pretty imperviously scary.

Let's look at his record!

Wins: 5
Losses: 3
Neither (interference/unable to determine winner/etc): 4

5-3-4! Not bad I guess, will compare to others later.

I wouldn't place him at the top of the list, but he's definitely up there!

S: Makarov,

A: Gildartz Clive,

B: Gajeel Redfox,

C:

DFO: Zombie Girl!

I think she looks like a zombie girl.

Pale skin really throws things off but hopefully the look will improve after i finish the set. Soloing with a launcher is hard >.> Bosses are cake but chasing down all the minions is boring.

I'm just at home. Casey's supposed to pick me up but nahhh he's in dat mabi love. Nah he'll come later i know though. So I'm just here. Wondering where the summer went, and sort of disappointed that this blog is not so full. But it is far from over!

Yuma says I don't write about her a lot! I will begin to do so (: Soon!

The Forbidden

Let's talk list! Starting with the newly banned :D

Rescue Cat: Goodbye cat decks! Unfortunately the instant +1 combined with the incredible cardpool has sent the cat to the depths of the banlist. While cat has been muted, don't forget that X-Saber and GB take a minor hit as well! Hopefully this can come back, but I doubt it will be any time soon.
Verdict: I don't care.

Substitoad: GG Frog decks! I mean technically the deck isn't dead...but the ftk is for the most part and hopefully their shenanigans are permanently crippled! I didn't think I minded this card but combined with mass driver = boring game! I got nothing against this card in general, but at the very least the ftk needed to get hit somewhere.
Verdict: Good call!

Brain Control: It's about time we got this thing out of here! Is it a good card? Yah. Crazy topdeck? Can be. It was fun while it lasted, but this thing had to go! Less otk combo bs! Sounds good!
Verdict: Good call!

Heavy Storm: It's so good to see this and Brain banned at last. Let's try for complete removal of overly generic/staple cards next list!
Verdict: Good call!

Of course I'm very biased so don't take this too seriously!

Torn: What to do?

Battle stats
Speed: 200,005.6394
Strength: 112,783.0461
Defence: 1,411,458.6601
Dexterity: 100,308.3475
Total: 1,824,555.6931

I've started taking daily refills on TC. Dunno why I didn't do it sooner.

Recently we've been warring a lot of smaller factions. And consequently destroying them. Feels good to be on top!

Then again RAOV is crushing us so...

-------------------------------------

This morning, I realized I'm back to where I started. Back to waking up, hanging out, staying at home and doing what I want. It's good! Not that I'm not getting things done.

My mom is selling the corolla (bye-bye clarabel) so for now I'm car-less. I've become so spoiled! Not that I can't get to where I need to be, so I guess I remain spoiled for a bit longer.

Marshall D. Teach AKA Blackbeard

So now the list looks more like this:

S: Edward Newgate,

A: Marshall D. Teach,

B:

C:

D:

E:

F:

G:

Marshall D. Teach! You know him as Blackbeard :D

Teach is badass. He's got two fruits, Darkness + Tremors, plus he's already insanely strong as well as having the Will of D.

You gotta remember, he gave shanks those three really cool scars before he even had his first fruit (you're welcome shanks) and technically he's killed Thatch and Whitebeard, along with defeating Dalton + all of Drum Kingdom, Sarquiss, Ace, Hannybal, and the Bonney Pirates. After having wrecked what was left of Impel Down, he's definitely in a position of power not only in strength but also in authority. Blackbeard = A Tier Treatment.

Also, he has a good laugh. There are lots of good laughs in One Piece, but this one is clockin in as one of the most satisfyingly evil.

Of course, this guy did a pretty good job too.

Blast from the past

Not a bad song. At all.

Remember this? I bet you singing along a little. A lot.

This song makes a lot more sense ten years later.

Maybe even more in the next ten.

Fairy Tail: Makarov

Makarov! Fairy Tail Guild Master + Ten Wizard Saint. Titan Magic + whatever else he wants to give cracks with places him at the top of the list for now.

S: Makarov,

A: Gildartz Clive,

B:

C:

D:

E:

F:

G:

I like how Makarov leads. He's more interested in the growth of his members than anything else, but at the same time it seems to have cost him his family. Of course, it's not like Ivan and Laxus tried very hard to support him, but I suppose that's what made his priorities and decisions more clear.

I've got an extremely supportive family, as do many people, and I suppose there's never been a better time to prove myself to them than now.

DFO: The Blade Master

Looks retarded.

I dunno what to do about it. I don't actually care how it looks, since the function is alright, but the appearance can't help but stand out the wrong way.

Oh well.

Torn: TC Challenge

The TC Challenge!

I'm in Stage 2, but I'm lazy to find an RR opponent (need one more)

Stage 1 was pretty fun tho, with the extra incentive to chain against these skrubby factions we found.

So I'm just at home. Going over my exchange packet, picking out the urgent stuff and deciding some sort of order of operations.

This new laptop is crazy! It's running really well, but we'll see how long it lasts. I'm going to try to take even better care of it than I did the last two, so hopefully this can last three years? At least? The size/screen/keys/fingerprint thingy/speakers/design/etc are all pretty good. Only catch is my fhotkeys don't work at all in dfo so i had to re-assign them.

So I heard I have to practice my Japanese for the placement exam.

That will start now.

This week

Is my last week of work at Kansai.

When it comes down to it, I am grateful that I found this summer job. Boss taught me a lot and payed well, and the job itself was so much more engaging than the other places at which I could have ended up. I must say, the two months spent driving around my favorite island will hopefully become a memory worth remembering.

I guess I have to get started on planning next week already.

OP: More Tiers!

So I got to thinking. Why not make a tier list for one piece too? It will most likely...be revised countless times in the future.

I like to start slow.

S: Edward Newgate,

A:

B:

C:

D:

E:

F:

G:

Of course, that means we're starting with Whitebeard >.>

Edward Newgate! Definitely S Tier material. Rival to the pirate king, renowned as the "strongest man in the world", and also a former yonkou. Top it off with a fruit that can cause earthquakes + Haoshoku Haki and you're all set!

Interestingly enough:
-Whitebeard is currently only ranked 69th favorite character (although i guess the poll is a little outdated)
-At his death, Whitebeard had taken 465 hits total. (compare to real-life blackbeard who took 25: 5 gunshots, 20 slashes/stabs)

I'm oddly inspired by whitebeard. I suppose his own view of himself as a father makes me wonder what type of father figure I'll be.

Gorillaz: Dare

This song is frikkin buck.

But that's just me.

I think I actually got into this song in Spring 2006? Around then. Used to listen to it all the time before tennis practice.

But I'm not into noodle! Sorry! He/she's got a lot of fans from this vid but meh. It's cool and all but unfortunately I didn't get sucked into the fandom.

DFO is coming back online soon!

Aha.
